upon doing an inventory check we realized that the beyond use date sticker indicated that the vaccine had expired . I ran a report to see if any vaccines had been given since that date and found this vaccine. I tried to contact patient and explain the issue and that the patient had received their vaccine 7 days after the beyond use date but there was no answer, i left a message to call me back with patients husband. I also wanted to explain that this should not have resulted in any harm to the patient from the vaccine but there may be a decrease in potency due to the post use date and offer the patient the ability to get revaccinated if they so choose
