upon doing an inventory check we realized that the beyond use date sticker indicated that the vaccine had expired . I ran a report to see if any vaccines had been given since that date and found this vaccine. I tried to contact patient and explain the issue and that the patient had received their vaccine 32 days after the beyond use date but no one answered , had to leave message to call me back . I also wanted to explain that this should not have resulted in any harm to the patient from the vaccine but there may be a decrease in potency due to the post use date and give the patient the opportunity to redo the vaccine if they so choose. No one has yet returned my call. .
