I was informed 1/8/26 in the evening that the MA administered the Hep A vaccine vs the DTAP that I signed and consented for. The Hep A was given 3 months early (first dose was at 12 months and not scheduled again until the 18 month visit). Prior to knowing this, around 2pm on 1/8/26, my son started to get very fussy. As the evening progressed, he had difficulty walking, very fussy, not eating, fevers developed, rash around his face, etc. it is now 1/11/26 and he has still been experiencing the same symptoms. Fevers are averaging 101+, still having some difficulty walking, not eating much, drinking some fluids, face is red. Motrin and Tylenol have been given multiple times in alternating schedules to break fever which are not working. We went to hospital in the middle of the night on 1/10/26. He was tested for flu, Covid and RSV, all negative. Abdomen x ray showed some constipation, enema given. Was advised if fever didn?t resolve going into Sunday to come back to ER. Will be going in later to wait for the Motrin to wear off so they can get an accurate temperature reading. Last one was 102.4.
