Symptom narrative

Week of Oct 26: developed R eye pain, worse with. movement. Took OTC NSAIDS and Tylenol, Nov 6: noted slight decrease in vision worsening by 11/7, seen in ED at Hospital. Had CT showing R optic nerve enlargement. Cont NSAIDS and Tyl 11/10: eval by ophthalmology with diminished visual acuity and color vision. 11/14: repeat evaluation by ophthalmology, worsening visual acuity and optic disc edema, 11/17 Admitted to Medical Center for optic neuritits. Diagnosed with MOGAD, Treated with high dose steroids, plasma exchange. Improved vision, but not completely recovered. Discharged 11/27 on oral steroids. 1/7/26 follow up with neuroimmunology- recommended 2 years of IVIg to reduce risk of recurrence.
