Patient was nervous about getting the vaccination. His mom said he had fainted after receiving his first covid vaccination but had immunizations after that with no problems. We asked that he stay in the store with his mother afterwards so we could keep an eye on him. After vaccinating the rest of the family I returned to the pharmacy to document the administration details. While I was doing that the technician said he passed out. When I got around the corner he was already coming to. His mom said he was very hot and was waving him with papers to cool him down. I asked if we could get him water but his brother was getting his water bottle. He continued to say he was hot and started looking very pale. He was not having any shortness of breath or other signs of allergy. He briefly passed out again and we called 911. We got him a couple of ice packs and a colder water from the cooler and he laid down in the vaccination room. Paramedics arrive and took his vitals. He was coherent and could answer all their questions. He started looking a little better. Paramedics said they thought it was just a nervous reaction to the vaccination and did not recommend that he go to the hospital. Mom and dad took him home shortly after paramedics left. I called and check with his mother the next morning and she said he was feeling fine and had no other problems after leaving the pharmacy.
