Symptom narrative

Baby was injected. 1 minute after injection, She cried, and when she was finished crying, she began her reaction. baby was limp and not acting herself. She was almost immediately lethargic, with her tongue hanging slightly out of her mouth. Medical provider stated "this is normal", and caregiver left the office. The patient returned to screaming. After looking over the patient in the vehicle, caregiver noticed changes in infants breathing: holding breath, gasping, etc. Once the infant returned to normal breath, she was placed in her car seat. The patient's eyes began to swell and be extremely puffy, and the infant was vocalizing sounds mimicking that she was struggling to breathe again. For about 45 minutes, this occurred. A few hours after the injection, the infant had splotchy white/red skin on the injection site. The infant was inconsolable for a couple of hours at a time that evening.

Mother informed doctor that baby had been stopped up and snotty.
