No additional AE; Nurse called reporting an expired dose of VARIVAX was inadvertently administered to a patient today, 1/6/2025. Caller reported expiration date was 11/14/2025.; This spontaneous report was received from a Nurse Practitioner and refers to a patient of unknown age and gender. The patient's medical history, concurrent conditions, and concomitant therapies were not reported. On 06-Jan-2026, the patient was inadvertently vaccinated with an expired dose of Varicella Virus Vaccine Live (Oka-Merck) (VARIVAX), Injection (valid lot #X026790, expiration date was provided and confirmed as: 14-Nov-2025) at dose 0.5 mL for prophylaxis (dose number, anatomical location, route of administration were not provided), reconstituted with sterile diluent, solution for injection (lot # and expiration date were not reported) (Expired product administered). No symptoms were reported; no additional AE (no adverse event).
