Symptom narrative

Scab/she broke out with sacbs all over her head and upper body and arms; This non-serious case was reported by a consumer via call center representative and described the occurrence of scab in a 70-year-old female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. Concomitant products included VARICELLA ZOSTER VACCINE RGE (CHO) (SHINGRIX). On 11-SEP-2023, the patient received the 2nd dose of Shingrix (intramuscular). On 01-JUL-2024, 294 days after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced scab (Verbatim: Scab/she broke out with sacbs all over her head and upper body and arms). The outcome of the scab was resolving. It was unknown if the reporter considered the scab to be related to Shingrix. It was unknown if the company considered the scab to be related to Shingrix. Additional Information: GSK receipt date 07-JAN-2026 The patient was never diagnosed with shingles. The patient asked if this was a normal occurrence after receiving the vaccination. The batch number was not provided, and we are unable to contact the reporter.
