The patient mentioned that he/she had tried everything, including acupuncture three times. They eventually put the patient on some narcotics, and after about a month or so it finally slacked up. The shingles had never appeared on the outside of the patient's body; it was all internal below the skin. The patient had cancer surgery and open-heart surgery, but shingles had hurt worse because it hurt 24 by 7. The patient could not sleep or get comfortable in any way; it was truly miserable This case was considered as suspected vaccination failure as details regarding completion of primary vaccination schedule and laboratory confirmation regarding shingles were unknown at the time of reporting.
