The patient reported that do not risk the chance of getting the shingles on places on your body that can be extremely painful. Patient had both the shingles vaccines. The first was not as effective. Since having the second vaccine patient had three different shingle spots about the size of a silver dollar. The vaccine did not stop the virus, but it sure helps to lessen the symptoms. This case was considered as suspected vaccination failure as details regarding time to onset and laboratory test confirming shingles were unknown at the time of reporting.
