Beginning with welts on my back near the belt line on Saturday morning and some slight itching, I self administered Benadryl cream to no effect. Through the day the swelling and itching expanded toward the buttocks. The next day, Sunday morning, 1/2 of the right buttocks and 1/4 of the left buttocks were swollen and taught. Monday morning I schedule an appointment at urgent care and received a steroid injection and a prescription for an oral steroid. Symptoms calmed but did not disappear. Wednesday morning, after a shower, the welts and and hives appeared rapidly on my arms and neck area. I visited the Health Center at my job and received another steroid injection as well as instructions for a refferal to an Allergy specialist. I contacted my Allergy specialist and they agreed to see me. A food food spectrum profile was ordered and much stronger dosage of oral steroids prescribed. Later that same Wednesday at 10:00 I proceeded to the emergency room. I was treated and release after many injections. There was a general clearing of (estimated)80-90% of the hives. The hives began to slowly return even as the stronger steroids were bing taken.
