Herpes simplex oral breakout; This non-serious case was reported by a consumer and described the occurrence of herpes simplex oral in a 73-year-old female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. On 15-JAN-2026, the patient received the 2nd dose of Shingrix. On 16-JAN-2026, 1 days after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced herpes simplex oral (Verbatim: Herpes simplex oral breakout). The patient was treated with valaciclovir hydrochloride (Valacyclovir) and docosanol (Abreva). The outcome of the herpes simplex oral was not resolved. It was unknown if the reporter considered the herpes simplex oral to be related to Shingrix. It was unknown if the company considered the herpes simplex oral to be related to Shingrix.
