cognitive decline; memory loss; aggressiveness; This non-serious case was reported by a consumer via call center representative and described the occurrence of cognitive deterioration in a elderly male patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) for prophylaxis. The patient's past medical history included shingles and shingles. On an unknown date, the patient received Shingles vaccine. On an unknown date, 3 months after receiving Shingles vaccine, the patient experienced cognitive deterioration (Verbatim: cognitive decline), memory loss (Verbatim: memory loss) and aggression (Verbatim: aggressiveness). The outcome of the cognitive deterioration was not reported and the outcome of the memory loss was unknown and the outcome of the aggression was not applicable. It was unknown if the reporter considered the cognitive deterioration, memory loss and aggression to be related to Shingles vaccine. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 15-JAN-2026 a healthcare professional (HCP) called to get assistance about some symptoms after a Shingles shot (never confirmed it was Shingrix). HCP reported about a relative over 55 years old got the shingles shot and did not have any reaction. After 3 months, patient started having some cognitive decline, memory loss and aggressiveness. The patient had malaria and had shingles very long time ago. HCP wanted to know if there was relationship between the shot and the cognitive symptoms.
