Symptom narrative

Patient developed a red swollen left upper arm and the injection site as well as temperature of 102 F. Was advised to be seen in ED after hours by on call provider on 12/16/25. Diagnosis was vaccine reaction and possible cellulitis of left arm. Treated with Cephalexin oral antibiotic. Patient was brought back in to be seen on 12/19/25 due to continued fever but left arm was slightly better. Diagnosed with Strep throat. Left arm now fully recovered.

Current illness

12/19/25 diagnosed with strep throat, none prior to vaccine.
