I was working both FD and MA at this site due to Coworker being out this day, It was a very full schedule, they sent another MA over from Senior in AM to assist me with Patients, but her and the Provider were having a difficulties working along with each other, so I started to assist pulling Patients in back and doing FD duties the rest of the day I was assisting with the other MA and doing FD. After lunch time the other MA possibly spoke with employee to switch locations back to Senior and send the other MA Float. Since she works more with Pedi than her. Getting closer to the end of day we had siblings come in needing vaccines, since MA could not administer them due to a finger injury she asked me to administer them. Right before I was going administer the vaccine to one child, they asked if they could use the restroom, as I waited for mom and child to come back I was overlooking the vaccine orders on my computer and paperwork/statements for parent to print out for her, the patient came back and sat on the table, I verified Patients info again and I administer the 1st vaccine I was ready to give the 2nd mom stopped me and stated that Patient was only getting one, that is when I realized that she was not the right Patient. I stopped myself and notified mom of my mistake, removed myself from the room and immediately notified the Provider and my Manager of the mistake. Patient waited in the clinic for20 mins and left clinic without reactions.
