Suspected vaccination failure; Shingles; This serious case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media and described the occurrence of vaccination failure in a adult female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) for prophylaxis. Co-suspect products included Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) for prophylaxis. On an unknown date, the patient received the 2nd dose of Shingles vaccine and the 1st dose of Shingles vaccine. In JAN-2026, more than 2 years after receiving Shingles vaccine, the patient experienced vaccination failure (Verbatim: Suspected vaccination failure) (serious criteria GSK medically significant) and shingles (Verbatim: Shingles). The outcome of the vaccination failure was not reported, and the outcome of the shingles was not resolved. It was unknown if the reporter considered the vaccination failure and shingles to be related to Shingles vaccine and Shingles vaccine. The company considered the vaccination failure to be unrelated to Shingles vaccine and Shingles vaccine. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 17-JAN-2026 This case was reported by a patient via interactive digital media. The patient got 2 of the 3 shingles vaccine about 7 or 8 years ago and never got the 3rd vaccine and had shingles for over a week. The patient did not know what it was at first as it was just pain on her left side and figured strained something shoveling snow. A few bumps appeared and she figured it out and only had might be 5 bumps total, but the pain was ridiculous. The patient enquired should she had gotten that 3rd booster, and it would have prevented that. The patient also asked she need to have booster vaccines every 5 years or so co and of course, that 3rd booster might had been the answer and doubted, but she had been wrong before. The batch number was not provided, and unable to contact the reporter. This case was considered as suspected vaccination failure as details regarding laboratory confirmation regarding shingles were unknown at the time of reporting.; Sender's Comments: A case of Vaccination failure, more than 2 years after receiving 1st and 2nd dose of Shingles vaccine, in an adult female patient. Based on the available information a possible causality that the events were caused by GSK vaccine product cannot be ascertained. Consent for further follow up has not been received.
