stress and anxiety; stress and anxiety; intractable headaches; inability to write / is unable to complete schoolwork without an individual dictating her work; seizure-like activity; This is a spontaneous report received from a Physician and Lawyers. A 15-year-old female patient received BNT162b2 (BNT162B2), on 16Jun2021 as dose 1, single (Batch/Lot number: unknown) for covid-19 immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history included: "asthma" (unspecified if ongoing). The patient's concomitant medications were not reported. The following information was reported: SEIZURE LIKE PHENOMENA (medically significant) with onset Jun2021, outcome "unknown", described as "seizure-like activity"; DYSGRAPHIA (non-serious) with onset 16Jun2021, outcome "unknown", described as "inability to write / is unable to complete schoolwork without an individual dictating her work"; HEADACHE (non-serious) with onset 16Jun2021, outcome "unknown", described as "intractable headaches"; STRESS (non-serious), ANXIETY (non-serious), outcome "unknown" and all described as "stress and anxiety". The event "seizure-like activity" required emergency room visit. Clinical course: She was a healthy and vibrant 15-year-old girl. Given her history of asthma, her parents were concerned that if she contracted Covid-19, she could possibly have complications. Since the (Withheld) promote the vaccine as "safe and effective" to the public, patient's parents felt that she should receive this vaccine to stay safe from Covid-19 and to lessen her chances of a severe bout of Covid 19. Thus, on 16Jun2021, patient received her first Pfizer Covid-19 vaccination through their county's public health department. Within 24 hours of vaccination, patient developed intractable headaches, the inability to write, and she could no longer ride horses or play sports. One week after vaccination, patient presented to the emergency room with seizure-like activity. In retrospect, this was just the beginning of a series of catastrophic events that would leave patient incapacitated and unable to live the life she once knew. Over the next several weeks, patient returned to the emergency room several times with uncontrolled seizure-like activity. Her symptoms were blamed on "stress and anxiety." Mother believes that her symptoms were caused by the Covid-19 vaccine she received, and so, on 31Aug, 2021. The information on the batch/lot number for BNT162b2 will be requested and submitted if and when received.; Sender's Comments: Based on the temporal relationship and since there was no previous history of seizures, a potential connection between the suspect product and the reported adverse events cannot be excluded. The impact of this report on the benefit/risk profile of the Pfizer product is evaluated as part of Pfizer procedures for safety evaluation, including the review and analysis of aggregate data for adverse events. Any safety concern identified as part of this review, as well as any appropriate action in response, will be promptly notified to regulatory authorities, Ethics Committees, and Investigators, as appropriate.
