lethargy; felt really sleepy; feeling really tired afterwards; This spontaneous case was reported by a consumer and describes the occurrence of LETHARGY (lethargy), SOMNOLENCE (felt really sleepy) and FATIGUE (feeling really tired afterwards) in an 85-year-old male patient who received mRNA-1283 (MNEXSPIKE PFS) (batch no. 3052732) for COVID-19 prophylaxis. The suspect product included Pre-filled Syringe injection (batch no. 3052732) for COVID-19 prophylaxis and non-company product included Influenza vaccine (Flu) for an unknown indication. Previously administered products included for Product used for unknown indication: Pfizer bivalent (Dose 5, Pfizer bivalent Lot GJ6739) on 19-Oct-2022, Pfizer bivalent (Dose 6 and Pfizer bivalent Lot GJ3270) on 18-Sep-2023. Past adverse reactions to the above products included No adverse effect with Pfizer bivalent and Pfizer bivalent. On 07-Jan-2026, the patient received dose of mRNA-1283 (MNEXSPIKE PFS) (Intramuscular use) 1 dosage form and dose of Influenza vaccine (Flu) (unknown route) 1 dosage form. On an unknown date, the patient started Pre-filled Syringe (unknown route) at an unspecified dose. On 09-Jan-2026, the patient experienced LETHARGY (lethargy) and SOMNOLENCE (felt really sleepy). In January 2026, the patient experienced FATIGUE (feeling really tired afterwards). At the time of the report, LETHARGY (lethargy), SOMNOLENCE (felt really sleepy) and FATIGUE (feeling really tired afterwards) had not resolved. No other vaccines in the past 4 weeks other than COVID-19 vaccine and flu shot on 07-Jan-2026. Concomitant medication was not reported. It was reported that patient may had 1 or 2 additional COVID-19 vaccine but details were not available, pretty much Moderna as far as he remembered. Patient received the Moderna Covid booster and he had been feeling really tired afterwards. Patient had Moderna all the way through and had always a little reaction the first day or a day and a half but nothing like this, and also got the flu shot at the same time and he was wondering if it was interaction effects or whether this booster was had a different effect than the others. It was stated that he did not really pay attention to the name of the vaccine but added that he received Moderna COVID19 vaccine and flu shot on the same date. It was stated, if it were for an elder, if there was a specific vaccine for older people, that would be the one that he got. Patient just wanted information, whether this was typical. He got it very early in the morning on Thursday to travel and expected to be tired because he got no sleep, but then on Friday he was really feeling lethargy after sleeping a great deal then on in so Friday especially and 11-Jan-2026 also. Well, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, felt really sleepy, like could go back to bed anytime. Now that could be being 85 and traveling, but he was usually not that fragile, so it had been just really a sort of extraordinary tiredness. He was extraordinarily tired for a long time after that and that was unusual for him because usually, Moderna would affect him for about a day and a half. And here it had been affecting for 5 days. It was not as bad as 11-Jan-2026 but still felt very tired. It was unknown if the patient experienced any additional symptoms/events. Treatment medication was not reported.
