Symptom narrative

Patient presented to ER on 01/24/2026 with possible exposure to rabies, being scratched by an animal. In ED patient was only given rabies immune globulin, NOT rabies vaccine. She had been previously vaccinated and provided did not vaccinate and only gave immune globulin, which is not the current guideline recommendations. Patient was called when error found to return for proper treatment.
