I received my third HPV vaccine on 1/27/26. I felt fine following the inject, nothing more than minor soreness at the injection site. That night I awoke at 3 AM with what felt like a fever: chills, sweating and some chest discomfort (tightness and heaviness in the center of my chest). I did not have any respiratory symptoms. I could not find a thermometer to verify that I had a fever. I took 400mg of Ibuprofen which helped relieve symptoms, and finally fell asleep around 7-8 am. I awoke again around 11:30 am with minor chest discomfort and fever symptoms.

I saw my PCP on 1/28/26 to discuss the event the previous night. They performed a flu and covid test, all came back negative. I am still experiencing some minor fever symptoms and was told to take ibuprofen and tylenol as symptoms persist, and to seek treatment if symptoms, especially chest pain, gets worse. This was at the Health Care Center and my temperature was measured to be 99.2 degrees F.
