Symptom narrative

Patient presented to the pharmacy on Sunday saying she received a shingles vaccine and pneumonia vaccine on Thursday in the same arm (right arm) and the area is red, itchy, and arm. She was not able to pull her sleeve all the way up but said it is a large area of her upper arm that is red. I recommended oral benadryl, hydrocortisone cream, and a cold compress. Told her that if the cortisone cream does not help, she could get an rx for a stronger steroid cream from her doctor. Told her to monitor the area and let us know if it gets any worse. Unsure which vaccine caused the reaction since she got both vaccines in the same arm and hasn't had either vaccine in the past.
