Rash; Pain; Itching; This non-serious case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media and described the occurrence of rash in a patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) for an unknown indication. On an unknown date, the patient received the 1st dose of Shingles vaccine. On an unknown date, an unknown time after receiving Shingles vaccine, the patient experienced rash (Verbatim: Rash), pain (Verbatim: Pain) and pruritus (Verbatim: Itching). The patient was treated with valaciclovir (Valacyclovir), acrivastine (Benadryl) and calamine. The outcome of the rash was not resolved and the outcome of the pain and pruritus were resolving. It was unknown if the reporter considered the rash, pain and pruritus to be related to Shingles vaccine. It was unknown if the company considered the rash, pain and pruritus to be related to Shingles vaccine. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 22-JAN-2026 This case was reported by a patient via interactive digital media. The patient had an awful night of pain the night before. Thought he/she had torn a muscle in shoulder then saw the rash. He/she was able to get right in to the doctor and prescribed valacyclovir and started it yesterday afternoon and after a not great reaction to the first dose, the patient was able to take it with no reaction. The pain was already much better but the rash was still spreading. The patient was using spray calamine and Benadryl that was helping with the itching.
