Symptom narrative

the second one permanently amped up tinnitus; This spontaneous case was reported by a consumer and describes the occurrence of TINNITUS (the second one permanently amped up tinnitus) in an adult male patient who received mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (batch no. 033C21A) for COVID-19 prophylaxis. Concurrent medical conditions included Tinnitus (the second one permanently amped up my tinnitus.). In 2020, the patient received first dose of mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (unknown route) dosage was changed to 1 dosage form. On an unknown date, the patient received second dose of mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (Intramuscular use) 1 dosage form. On an unknown date, the patient experienced TINNITUS (the second one permanently amped up tinnitus). At the time of the report, TINNITUS (the second one permanently amped up tinnitus) had not resolved. Concomitant medication was not provided. It was reported that the patient had received two doses in 2020, and the reporter stated that following the second dose, the patient's tinnitus permanently worsened. The reporter further stated that immediately after the event, the patient submitted all relevant information to a government adverse event reporting website (acronym not recalled), with the understanding that the information would be forwarded to Moderna. It was unknown if the patient experienced any additional symptoms or events. Treatment medication was not reported.
