Patient was scheduled to receive 4 vaccines, covid, pneumonia, shingles, and rsv. Our technician administered both the covid and pneumonia shot in patients left arm and was drawing up the shingles when the patient asked her to wait before doing the next vaccines, said she was feeling faint, and put her head between her knees. The technician came to get me (DPh) in the pharmacy, I brought a fan with me into the clinic room to check on the pt. She was still in the chair with her head between her knees, and responded to me when I asked if she was still feeling dizzy/faint, which she was. I asked her if she was hot and would like the fan on her, she did, so I set it up. I told her that we had a cot in the next room if she wanted to lie down, she did, so I set that up and helped her sit down as it is low to the ground. My technician went to get her a cold bottle of water. She said that laying down helped her feel better almost immediately, so after a few moments, I returned to the pharmacy and told her I would check on her in 5 minutes. When I returned, she said she was feeling much better and had drank the bottle of water. She had realized as she was resting that she had not eaten since some oatmeal at breakfast, so I went to get her another bottle of water and an oatmeal granola bar. Another 5 minutes later she had eaten and drank and was feeling ready to stand, so another pharmacy employee and I helped her stand, she did not feel faint after changing positions. She said she felt fine to leave and that she was going to come back the next day for her remaining vaccines.
