Symptom narrative

The patient developed a fever on 1/30/26 after the vaccines were administered, which, per history, resolved with OTC children's fever reducer x 1 On 2/1/26, he woke up with spreading purpura on his lower extremities, buttocks, and upper arms. He also had swelling and pain of his right foot and refusal to bear weight. There was a concern for HSP (Henoch Schonlein Purpura), so he was therefore referred to the ED for further evaluation and management. 2/5/2026 Update: Call was made to parents of child after ED discharge, to which mother confirmed child was improving and feeling better. Mother mentioned Medical Providers at ED child's "body mechanics should be back to normal in 3-4 days after symptoms began."
