Approx 8-12 hours after vaccine administration that mother changed the infant's diaper. She observed a sudden increase in fussiness that included significant retraction of the testicles. She observed color change (pallor) to the testes and glans of the penis. The fussiness continued for 10-15 minutes as she prepared the infant for transport to the ED. He calmed and looked pale.

In the ED the patient underwent labs and imaging to rule out intussusception or acute testicular pathology. He had an X-ray of the abdomen, an ultrasound of the abdomen and scrotem. They were all read as no acute pathology but bilateral hydroceles were observed. A test for blood in the stool was positive
