Symptom narrative

The patient reported pain in his right arm at 12:40pm. Patient was flushed in the face, had mottled skin all over his body, and had some redness and swelling on his right arm at the injection site. Patient was given PO Benadryl 10mL. Patient became less flushed and skin returned to normal color and swelling reduced by 1:10pm. Clinical team continued to monitor patient until 1:20pm. We sent him home with PO Benadryl and instructed his caregiver to give Motrin as needed every 6 hours and to call 911 if the patient shows any difficulty breathing or develops hives anywhere on his body. The patient was discharged.
