Client contacted County Health Department today to inform that she had filled out a VAERS report related to her recent vaccine administered at the clinic. Client reports that after her visit she "ran a few errands" and noticed later that evening that she was having "flashing lights" in the outside corner of her right eye, unsure of the exact time frame from vaccination to onset but guessed approximately 4 to 8 hours after administration. The client reported that she followed up with her ophthalmologist who diagnosed her with uveitis and informed her that it is extremely rare but has been reported at a side effect of the Hepatitis A vaccine. Client reports that she was prescribed eye drops from her provider and was cleared to fly for her upcoming trip. Client reports that she is still having "flashing lights" and was told by her ophthalmologist that it could be chronic. Client was advised by County Health Department to follow up with her PCP prior to travel for evaluation. Client states that she has not yet but will consider this prior to her trip. Client denied any concerns at this time and reports that she is still planning on traveling. Client is traveling 2/15/26 to 3/4/26. Client is traveling where she will spend three days prior to flying and will spend her remaining time in country.
CLIENT RECEIVED TYPHOID VACCINE ON 2/3/2026 IN ANTICIPATION OF TRAVEL. CLIENT WAS ADVISED BY HER RHEUMATOLOGIST TO "SPACE OUT" VACCINES.
