Parents report that patient "stopped talking within 3 hours of administering the vaccines for 5 months." They did not reach out after the incident to inform us and f/u for any further well child appointments until he was 29 months. Per mom they have been doing "speech training" on their own at home with progress/improvement. Recommend speech therapy referral but parents declined stating they would prefer to work on it at home and will reconsider at his next appt in august when he turns 3 yo. They said they would consider speech therapy if not improving by that visit.
Acquired plagiocephaly, immature retina, history of prematurity
Acquired plagiocephaly, immature retina, history of prematurity. Ordered CT head but never completed. Referred to PT with a few sessions and then stopped. Referred for helmeting eval. Opted not to pursue due to cost. Head shape improved some and less noticeable after growing hair. Follows with eye doctor occasionally.
