A 72-year-old male patient received BNT162b2 omicron (lp.8.1) (COMIRNATY (2025-2026 FORMULA)), on 21Dec2025 as dose 1, single (Batch/Lot number: unknown) at the age of 72 years, in left arm for covid-19 immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history included: "Blood pressure abnormal" (unspecified if ongoing); "Blood cholesterol abnormal" (unspecified if ongoing). Concomitant medication(s) included: LISINOPRIL; CRESTOR. The patient also took other concomitant therapy. The following information was reported: MUSCULOSKELETAL STIFFNESS (non-serious) with onset 21Dec2025, outcome "recovered", described as "Could not bend his fingers all the way in; Could not make a fist in his hand on the arm that he received the shot"; PAIN IN EXTREMITY (non-serious) with onset 21Dec2025, outcome "unknown", described as "His hands started hurting the very same day"; VACCINATION SITE PAIN (non-serious) with onset 21Dec2025, outcome "unknown", described as "His left arm hurt where the side of the shot". Therapeutic measures were taken as a result of vaccination site pain, pain in extremity, musculoskeletal stiffness. Clinical information: The patient's wife stated that when her husband (the patient) got a Pfizer Covid booster on 21Dec2025 and from the moment he got this shot, he got it in his left arm and his left arm hurt where the side of the shot (was administered). His hands also started hurting the very same day, it is the left hand and after that for over a month, he could not make a fist. He could not bend his fingers all the way in, but this Feb2026, he can. Treatment that his doctor recommended was that he go to a hand specialist and about two weeks after he had the covid vaccination, he had a cortisone shot in his hand and that helped.
