Patient came in today, 7 days after vaccine and reported his symptoms started the next day after he had received the Prevnar 20 vaccine. He showed a quarter-size bruise on his left arm, presumed to be the injection site which was at the bottom of his deltoid muscle and then a solid red horizontal shaped box about an inch below the bruise that covered his arm. Nowhere on his arm was swollen and no lump was present. Patient stated he also felt feverish and just off since the vaccine. I told patient to go to the doctor's office right away and call us with an update. I also told him to take Tylenol for the fever, he said he had taken that the day after the vaccine also. Patient also stated he wore a very tight shirt the day of the vaccine and had trouble rolling it up for immunizer to give the vaccine.
