Suspected Vaccination failure/I feel like I have had a bad case of shingles for about a year on my back,; feel like I have had a bad case of shingles for about a year on my back, it gets so painful I have a hard time sleeping; This serious case was reported by a consumer via call center representative and described the occurrence of vaccination failure in a female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. Co-suspect products included Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. On an unknown date, the patient received the 2nd dose of Shingrix and the 1st dose of Shingrix. On an unknown date, an unknown time after receiving Shingrix and Shingrix, the patient experienced vaccination failure (Verbatim: Suspected Vaccination failure/I feel like I have had a bad case of shingles for about a year on my back,) (serious criteria GSK medically significant) and shingles (Verbatim: feel like I have had a bad case of shingles for about a year on my back, it gets so painful I have a hard time sleeping). The outcome of the vaccination failure and shingles were not reported. It was unknown if the reporter considered the vaccination failure and shingles to be related to Shingrix and Shingrix. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 09-FEB-2026 The reporter reported that a person answered the phone. After greeting, the person who answered the phone abruptly disconnected. The reporter stated that she felt like she has had a bad case of shingles for about a year on back, it got so painful the reporter have a hard time sleeping but the reporter went to the doctor, and she could not see a thing which she knew. The reporter had question was, could the reporter get shingles under the skin that never erupt, the reporter has had double shots two years ago. The batch number was not provided, and we are unable to contact the reporter.; Sender's Comments: A case of Vaccination failure, an unknown time after receiving Shingrix vaccine (dose 1 and dose 2), in a female patient. Based on the available information, a possible causality that the event was caused by the GSK product cannot be ascertained. Consent for further follow-up has not been received.
