Symptom narrative

Patient reports that her right thigh, where she received the meningitis shot, is red, swollen, and tight. She describes the area as feeling hard, particularly in the middle, with the hardness being most pronounced and feeling better around the edges. The reaction has improved since yesterday, stating it's definitely gotten better and this morning it looks a lot better. She describes that initially it was super bumpy and would change color when touched, kind of like sunburn. Patient has been taking Benadryl to treat the reaction, which she started for the first time yesterday.

Current illness

1/16/26 - headache, red eyes, sore throat, ear pain, diarrhea, negative strep test, sibling had strep, treated imperically with Azithromycin. 2/16/26 -headache, nausea, abdominal pain, cramping, diarrhea, loose stools
