Symptom narrative

Pt developed pain in R shoulder immediately after the injection. We believe that injection was placed too high in the deltoid. Pt developed effusion/synovitis localized to superior subcapsular recess of the shoulder joint. And, mild subacromial/subdeltoid bursitis. These were the diagnoses given in the MRI.

CT 01/21/2026, MRI 2/24/2026. She was given oral prednisone with some improvement, then it stopped helping. We referring her to Orthopedics: A steroid injection into the bursa may ben more helpful.
