A patient (age and gender not provided) received BNT162b2 omicron (kp.2) (COMIRNATY (2024-2025 FORMULA)), on 22May2025 as dose 1, single (Batch/Lot number: unknown) for covid-19 immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history and concomitant medications were not reported. The following information was reported: DRUG INEFFECTIVE (medically significant), COVID-19 (medically significant) all with onset 23Jul2025, outcome "unknown" and all described as "she caught covid and had chills, tired and no energy"; GAIT DISTURBANCE (non-serious) with onset 12Sep2025, outcome "not recovered", described as "she could hardly walk/She still can't walk, she uses a walker, is in physical therapy ."; NEUROPATHY PERIPHERAL (hospitalization, medically significant) with onset 03Oct2025, outcome "unknown", described as "had nerve damage and on 03Oct2025, doctor's said she had neuropathy"; NEURALGIA (non-serious) with onset 30Oct2025, outcome "unknown", described as "Neuropathic pain/nerve pain"; WEIGHT DECREASED (non-serious), outcome "unknown", described as "she has lost weight"; MUSCULAR WEAKNESS (non-serious), outcome "unknown", described as "lost muscle strength". The patient was hospitalized for neuropathy peripheral (start date: 24Nov2025). The patient underwent the following laboratory tests and procedures: Weight: 20 lbs, notes: Lost. Therapeutic measures were taken as a result of gait disturbance. Clinical course: Question: Caller states on 22May2025, she received the Pfizer covid vaccine and on 23Jul2025, she caught covid and had chills, tired and no energy. 12Sep she could hardly walk and had nerve damage and on 03Oct2025, doctor's said she had neuropathy. On 24Nov2025, she had to be hospitalized. She still can't walk, she uses a walker, is in physical therapy. she has lost weight and lost muscle strength. She read on the internet an attorney general (withheld) has a (withheld) against Pfizer regarding the vaccine. She wants to know if there have been reports of nerve damage with the vaccine. On 17Feb2026, Consumer stated, "I have taken the Pfizer shot 22May2025 then I caught covid, 23Jul2025. I had chills and was tired and different things like that. 30Oct2025 I caught neuropathic pain which is, my nerve is damaged and now I have to walk on a walker. I am calling you all to see if you all had any more complaint about this shot, getting neuropathy pain, nerve pain. I cannot walk. I have lost about 20 pounds." When clarified if took Pfizer Covid-19 shot, consumer stated, "Yes. It's Pfizer-BioNTech (hence, suspect captured Covid-19 Shot), that is the shot I took on 22May2025 and then I looked up, I googled it and they are in the (withheld). It is concerning. When clarified if wanted to know if any more complaints were registered for this shot, consumer stated, "Yes and then I caught covid, 23Jul2025." In response to further probing, consumer stated, "No, it is not because like I said, I am real sick right now." Consumer further stated, "I have a question. How long would it take you to ask me?" Consumer was informed that it might take 8-10 minutes and also informed that it is up to them if they do not want to proceed. No follow-up attempts are possible. Batch/lot number is not provided, and it cannot be obtained.; Sender's Comments: Based on the known drug profile, temporal association and reporter association, there is a reasonable possibility of causal association between the reported events, Covid-19 due to drug ineffective leading to gait disturbance, peripheral neuropathy, neuralgia, decreased weight and muscular weakness and the suspect product, BNT162b2 omicron (kp.2) (COMIRNATY (2024-2025 FORMULA)).
