Severe autonomic dysfunction; Trigger a Seizure; This is a spontaneous report received from a Consumer or other non HCP from License Party. Other Case identifier(s): AE-022736 (BioNTech). A male patient received BNT162b2 omicron (lp.8.1) (COMIRNATY (2025-2026 FORMULA)), as dose 1, single (Batch/Lot number: unknown) for covid-19 immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history and concomitant medications were not reported. The following information was reported: AUTONOMIC NERVOUS SYSTEM IMBALANCE (medically significant), 11 days after the suspect product(s) administration, outcome "unknown", described as "Severe autonomic dysfunction"; SEIZURE (medically significant), outcome "unknown", described as "Trigger a Seizure". The patient underwent the following laboratory tests and procedures: Blood pressure measurement: Extreme Drop. Clinical course: His symptoms were first observed 11 days after his first dose of the Pfizer BioNTech COVID 19 vaccine. The patient has severe autonomic dysfunction. He can go from a hypertensive crisis in a supine position to a hypotensive crisis standing, in 60 seconds. It is not predictable. It does not happen every time. There are times when the extreme drop in blood pressure will trigger a seizure. Please do not overreact. Make sure he is safe and check his vitals. They usually end in 10 minutes or less (the longest was, sadly, 55 minutes rare). No follow-up attempts are possible. Batch/lot number is not provided, and it cannot be obtained. COMIRNATY is under agreement with BIONTECH SE.
