patient developed a typical local reaction on day 2 that persisted for over a week. patient presented on day 8 post-vaccination with a large area of redness, warm to the touch, painful (burning/bruise-like sensation). Concern for cellulitis based on the symptoms. treated for this with doxycycline (due to penicillin allergy and has previously tolerated this medication well). could also be delayed hypersensitivity reaction with prolonged course.

vitamin d deficiency, b12 deficiency, depression with anxiety, obesity, hyperlipidemia
tramadol 50 mg q6h prn, voltaren gel on knees prn, flonase nasal spray, vitamin d2 capsule 50,000 once weekly, azelastine is prn, mucinex as needed (this is her med list, she takes nothing on a daily basis)
cantaloupe/honeydew- itching, throat swelling/lip swelling and penicillins caused rash/vomiting
none
