Symptom narrative

a patient received a Boostrix vaccine IV, instead of IM Vaccine; This non-serious case was reported by a pharmacist via call center representative and described the occurrence of intramuscular formulation administered by other route in a 57-year-old male patient who received DTPa (Reduced antigen) (Boostrix) for prophylaxis. On 19-FEB-2026, the patient received Boostrix (intravenous). On 19-FEB-2026, an unknown time after receiving Boostrix, the patient experienced intramuscular formulation administered by other route (Verbatim: a patient received a Boostrix vaccine IV, instead of IM Vaccine). The outcome of the intramuscular formulation administered by other route was not applicable.
