Upon chart review, patient received a Hepatitis A vaccine on 8/13/25. He came into the clinic accompanied by his father in October for a second vaccine as the school gave his father a paper stating that if he didn't get the second dose of the Hep A vaccine by that week, he could not return to school until he does so. A second hepatitis A vaccine was administered on 10/2/25. Patient and father return to clinic for a third time with a similar email from the school stating he needs yet another hepatitis A vaccine or he can't return to school. He technically was given the second dose of Hep A too early, and shouldn't have gotten it until February. Upon reviewing CDC guidelines, the second dose is considered invalid, but the next dose to finish the series should not be given until 6 months after the invalid dose. The earliest that patient should be getting his last and final dose of hepatitis A will be 4/2/26.
