GBS; had a virus like six weeks in, a really bad viral reaction; This is a spontaneous report received from a Consumer or other non HCP and an Other HCP. A 63-year-old male patient received rsv vaccine prot.subunit pref 2v (ABRYSVO), as dose number unknown, single (Batch/Lot number: unknown) for immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history and concomitant medications were not reported. The following information was reported: GUILLAIN-BARRE SYNDROME (medically significant), outcome "not recovered", described as "GBS"; VIRAL INFECTION (non-serious), outcome "unknown", described as "had a virus like six weeks in, a really bad viral reaction". The events "gbs" and "had a virus like six weeks in, a really bad viral reaction" required physician office visit. The patient underwent the following laboratory tests and procedures: Magnetic resonance imaging: 'GBS' related, notes: it was not a stroke. Clinical course: reporter stated patient had and still experiencing motor and dexterity issues on the left side and it is now moving into the right side. He is having mobility issues in being able to walk, numbness in the hands and in the feet and they thought he peaked and then he had a virus like six weeks in, a really bad viral reaction and it seems to add but it is still very painful on the left arm, weakness and dexterity is not really coming back. It is like kind of staying where it is and he is getting problems now on the right side and they already did an MRI to confirm it was not a stroke. So, it was confirmed that it was 'GBS' related. Reporter stated it was more than an inconvenience. He walked into the doctor for one thing and then walked out worse than when he went in. The reporter's husband (patient) was a very athletic man, 63-year-old man who now has problem walking. Reporter was asking is there any recourse that Pfizer is offering patients who have been adversely impacted and if there is any recourse or help that Pfizer is offering people who get Guillain-Barre from their product. Help with medical or help with understanding how the disease reacts. Help with Guillain-Barr and understanding it, understanding when it peaks, understanding what the recovery time is because it seems like medical industry does not know a lot about it either. The information on the batch/lot number for rsv vaccine prot.subunit pref 2v will be requested and submitted if and when received.
