Symptom narrative

swelling on arm at injection site to elbow; 103 fevers; body aches; This non-serious case was reported by a consumer and described the occurrence of extensive swelling of vaccinated limb in a 73-year-old female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) (batch number 58160-0823-11) for prophylaxis. Concurrent medical conditions included increased blood pressure (moderate to high blood pressure). Concomitant products included apixaban (Eliquis), losartan potassium (Losartin) and hydrochlorothiazide. On 04-SEP-2025, the patient received the 1st dose of Shingrix (unknown arm) .5 ml. On 04-SEP-2025, less than a day after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced extensive swelling of vaccinated limb (Verbatim: swelling on arm at injection site to elbow), fever (Verbatim: 103 fevers) and general body pain (Verbatim: body aches). On 09-SEP-2025, the outcome of the extensive swelling of vaccinated limb, fever and general body pain were resolved (duration 5 days). It was unknown if the reporter considered the extensive swelling of vaccinated limb, fever and general body pain to be related to Shingrix. It was unknown if the company considered the extensive swelling of vaccinated limb, fever and general body pain to be related to Shingrix. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 02-MAR-2026 The patient self-reported this case for herself. The patient stated that the symptoms were not treated. She was concerned about taking the second dose.
