Symptom narrative

After administering MCV vaccine, it was noted that expiration date was 2/2026. Patient was observed for 15 minutes after administration with no adverse effects noted. Patient's mother was notified of occurrence and educated on safety of having the expired vaccine and of receiving another dose. She expressed understanding and was given choice of having child revaccinated either at school or at HD. She chose to have it done at the school and arrangements will be made through the Health Department.
