Suspected vaccination failure; had shingles five years ago on my right side; aching my nerves oh my gosh they still hurt so bad; This serious case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media and described the occurrence of vaccination failure in a adult female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) for prophylaxis. On an unknown date, the patient received Shingles vaccine. On an unknown date, an unknown time after receiving Shingles vaccine, the patient experienced vaccination failure (Verbatim: Suspected vaccination failure) (serious criteria GSK medically significant), shingles (Verbatim: had shingles five years ago on my right side) and post herpetic neuralgia (Verbatim: aching my nerves oh my gosh they still hurt so bad). The patient was treated with gabapentin. The outcome of the vaccination failure was not reported and the outcome of the shingles and post herpetic neuralgia were not resolved. The patient had shingles five years ago on the right side and they still bother. The rash was gone but the aching the nerves and they still hurt so bad. The patient took that Gabapentin of course that did not help all the time some days. The patient had good ones some days and did not but had been drinking that soursop bitter, and it tends to help it a little bit. The patient did not take it every day, but when did took it like a week and thought the pain go away, but other than that, it affected the nerves and means it constant, aching pain all the time every day, but like said when took the soursop it eases it up. This case was considered as suspected vaccination failure as details regarding completion of primary vaccination schedule, time to onset and laboratory test confirming shingles were unknown at the time of reporting.
