Suspected vaccination failure; got 5 shingle bumps; lost feeling in 3 fingers; This serious case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media and described the occurrence of vaccination failure in a patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) for prophylaxis. Co-suspect products included Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) for prophylaxis. On an unknown date, the patient received the 2nd dose of Shingles vaccine and the 1st dose of Shingles vaccine. On an unknown date, more than a year after receiving Shingles vaccine and Shingles vaccine, the patient experienced vaccination failure (Verbatim: Suspected vaccination failure) (serious criteria GSK medically significant), shingles (Verbatim: got 5 shingle bumps) and numbness in fingers (Verbatim: lost feeling in 3 fingers). The outcome of the vaccination failure and shingles were not reported and the outcome of the numbness in fingers was not resolved. This case was reported by a patient via interactive digital media. More than a year later they developed five shingles on their hand and lost sensation in three fingers. A year after that they still had no feeling. The doctor had said the shots did not guarantee protection against shingles and might only result in milder symptoms. The batch number was not provided, and we are unable to contact the reporter.
