Suspected Vaccination failure; Shingles; This serious case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media and described the occurrence of vaccination failure in a adult female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) for prophylaxis. Co-suspect products included Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) for prophylaxis. The patient's past medical history included shingles (in left lower hip area, never gets bigger than the size of quarter). Previously administered products included Acyclovir (Acyclovir ointment and pills). On an unknown date, the patient received the 2nd dose of Shingles vaccine and the 1st dose of Shingles vaccine. On an unknown date, an unknown time after receiving Shingles vaccine and Shingles vaccine, the patient experienced vaccination failure (Verbatim: Suspected Vaccination failure) (serious criteria GSK medically significant) and shingles (Verbatim: Shingles). The outcome of the vaccination failure was not reported and the outcome of the shingles was not resolved. It was unknown if the reporter considered the vaccination failure and shingles to be related to Shingles vaccine and Shingles vaccine. The company considered the vaccination failure to be unrelated to Shingles vaccine and Shingles vaccine. Additional Information: GSK receipt date 10-MAR-2026 This case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media. The patient stated that very 1st shot you had to be clean for 6 months. The patient could not get past 3 months with the kind of job the patient had. Lifting, bending over, standing one spot or walking all day. So about 15 years later they came out with the double shot and as long as you were not broke out you can get the shot. The shot didn't help. The patient still got the shingles. If she over stretch that hip area, the patient could feel the shingles before even break out. The patient immediately put ice on that area to calm the nerve down and put the Ointment on. And it gone within a day or two. The patient had shingles for about 25 years now, and patient stated that was how it worked for her. The patient wish it would go away completely so she could get back into doing yoga and exercise. This case was considered as suspected vaccination failure since the details regarding time to onset and laboratory confirmation of shingles not reported. The batch number was not provided, and we are unable to contact the reporter.; Sender's Comments: A case of Vaccination failure, an unknown time after receiving the 2nd dose of Shingles vaccine, in an adult female patient.
