cartilage loss; lupus/lethargy; shrunken eyes/Vision loss; Sjrogrens/dry skin/shrunken eyes/erectile dysfunction/rough patch under tongue/lethargy/dry mouth/extreme thirst/food/med sensitivities; heartburn; extreme hunger; bone loss; POTS/low blood volume/ tachycardia/ salt deficiency/ headaches; Elhers-danlos/joint pain/connective tissue damage; This spontaneous case was reported by a consumer and describes the occurrence of LUPUS VULGARIS (lupus/lethargy), ATROPHY OF GLOBE (shrunken eyes/Vision loss) and SJOGREN'S SYNDROME (Sjrogrens/dry skin/shrunken eyes/erectile dysfunction/rough patch under tongue/lethargy/dry mouth/extreme thirst/food/med sensitivities) in a 42-year-old male patient who received mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) for COVID-19 prophylaxis. The occurrence of additional non-serious events is detailed below. Concomitant products included Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), Quercetin, Berberine hydrochloride (Berberine), Iron, Colecalciferol (Vitamin d3), Ubidecarenone (Coq10), Fish oil (Fish oil omega 3), Vitamin b12 nos and Magnesium (Magnesium only) for an unknown indication. On 06-Jan-2021, the patient received dose of mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (Intramuscular use) 1 dosage form. On 02-Oct-2025, the patient experienced LUPUS VULGARIS (lupus/lethargy) (seriousness criterion medically significant), ATROPHY OF GLOBE (shrunken eyes/Vision loss) (seriousness criterion medically significant), SJOGREN'S SYNDROME (Sjrogrens/dry skin/shrunken eyes/erectile dysfunction/rough patch under tongue/lethargy/dry mouth/extreme thirst/food/med sensitivities) (seriousness criterion medically significant), DYSPEPSIA (heartburn), HUNGER (extreme hunger), BONE LOSS (bone loss), POSTURAL ORTHOSTATIC TACHYCARDIA SYNDROME (POTS/low blood volume/ tachycardia/ salt deficiency/ headaches) and EHLERS-DANLOS SYNDROME (Elhers-danlos/joint pain/connective tissue damage). On an unknown date, the patient experienced CARTILAGE ATROPHY (cartilage loss). At the time of the report, LUPUS VULGARIS (lupus/lethargy), ATROPHY OF GLOBE (shrunken eyes/Vision loss), SJOGREN'S SYNDROME (Sjrogrens/dry skin/shrunken eyes/erectile dysfunction/rough patch under tongue/lethargy/dry mouth/extreme thirst/food/med sensitivities), DYSPEPSIA (heartburn), HUNGER (extreme hunger), BONE LOSS (bone loss), POSTURAL ORTHOSTATIC TACHYCARDIA SYNDROME (POTS/low blood volume/ tachycardia/ salt deficiency/ headaches), EHLERS-DANLOS SYNDROME (Elhers-danlos/joint pain/connective tissue damage) and CARTILAGE ATROPHY (cartilage loss) was resolving. DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS (normal ranges are provided in parenthesis if available): On an unknown date, Antinuclear antibody: high. On an unknown date, Antiphospholipid antibodies: low. On an unknown date, Laboratory test: Strange abnormalities inconsistent with any known disease/vision loss, heartburn with extreme hunger, bone loss, cartilage loss. The action taken with mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (Intramuscular use) was unknown. Concomitant medication includes various antihistamines. It was reported the events only improved through months of trial and error with supplements and diet changed. The patient had no medical history, concomitant disease or risk factors. It was unknown if the patient experienced any additional symptoms/events.; Reporter's Comments: Events that occurred almost 5 years after vaccination were assessed as not related, due to long latency. The benefit-risk relationship of product is not affected by this report.
