Symptom narrative

Mom messaged into the office via the patient portal regarding an area near the injection site on the left thigh that had become red, swollen, and warm to touch. No fevers. Per mom, this was just near the injection site. Spoke with PCP, who advised mom to mark the area with a pen to see if it spreads. PCP also recommended the use of Tylenol every 4 hours, Motrin every 6 hours, and applying compresses as needed. PCP advised mom that if the area spreads or starts to have pus, patient should be evaluated.
