Symptom narrative

Experienced shingles although vaccinated for shingles; This is a spontaneous report received from a Consumer or other non HCP. A 62-year-old female patient (not pregnant) received BNT162b2 omicron (lp.8.1) (COMIRNATY (2025-2026 FORMULA)), on 15Jan2026 as dose 1, single (Batch/Lot number: unknown) for covid-19 immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history and concomitant medications were not reported. Vaccination history included: Covid-19 vaccine (Primary Immunization series complete; unknown manufacturer), for Covid-19 immunization; Shingles vaccine (DOSE NUMBER UNKNOWN, SINGLE; MANUFACTURER UNKNOWN), for Immunization. The following information was reported: HERPES ZOSTER (non-serious) with onset 12Feb2026, outcome "recovering", described as "Experienced shingles although vaccinated for shingles". Therapeutic measures were taken as a result of herpes zoster. Additional information: Experienced shingles although vaccinated for shingles and received treatment of steroids, antiviral and acupuncture for it. Patient reached out to reporter to ask if Pfizer was aware of patients developing shingles after a Comirnaty booster. Reporter told her that reporter would report the incident. No follow-up attempts are possible. Batch/lot number is not provided, and it cannot be obtained.
