Patient received Prevnar20 on 3/12. By the evening of 3/12, she reported onset of night sweats and fatigue. On 3/18, the patient noted erythema at the injection site and contacted her primary care clinic. She was advised by an RN to seek urgent care due to concern for possible infection, as the affected area was reported to be larger than 3 inches in diameter. The patient was evaluated at urgent care on 3/18 and was prescribed Bactrim. On 3/20, the patient contacted me and reported that she has experienced a similar reaction in the past following a Tdap vaccination. As of 3/20, she states the erythema has improved, the area is soft, and her symptoms are improving, though not yet fully resolved to baseline.
