Symptom narrative

Patient received his fourth dose of DTAP in his left thigh around 1130 on 18 March 26. MOP noticed the patient walking with a limp on 19 March 26 around 1700. The area was red, raised and warm to the touch. A few hours later, the redness and swelling spread to his upper left thigh and down to his left knee. 19 March 2026 patient was seen in the ER for significant increase in redness, swelling/warm to touch. Patient was administered Ceftriaxone in the ER and sent home with Cephalexin 125mg/5ml 4 times a day for 7 days.
